The Lost Tapes
The Lost Tapes
Bob Safford Snr came to the United Kingdom in 2003 with Primerica Financial Services, along with 20+ Founders to open up the UK market with the PFS business model. He lived and worked here for 3 years building a baseshop whose legacy still remains today within Genistar Ltd.
I met Bob in July 2003 after being invited by a friend to an Opportunity meeting. I arrived reluctantly and was placed in the front row, making it hard for me to leave. The information wasn’t new to me, as I had been in the financial services industry for 16 years. However, I was intrigued by this American man who had clearly become incredibly successful working with middle income families (the polar opposite to my career at that point), helping high net-worth clients with tax planning and sophisticated investments.
After meeting Bob for a follow up interview I paid my £140 IBA fee and found myself catching the train to and from London most days with Bob as we lived a few miles apart and worked opposite corners of Cavendish Square in central London at that time.
During my first training session on a Monday night I noticed everybody had a small tape cassette player recording everything he said hanging on his every word. The following week i turned up with mine and started to accumulate dozens of 90 minute tapes and multiple A4 notebooks full of notes of not only his baseshop training sessions, fast start schools, super Saturdays, millionaire universities but also one to one training he gave me on the way to work and on the way home sat on a train usually sipping on a bottle of Budweiser.
Eventually these tapes got put away in shoe boxes placed at the back of a cupboard in my office at home and effectively got lost until I was moving home in 2020. On rediscovering them to my shock, the content had disappeared due to the ravage of time when I tried to play them on my trusted tape cassette player, they were truly LOST.
However speaking to an accomplished sound engineer, he informed that me the sound can survive for up to 20 years even if not audible to normal hearing levels so with much diligence he went to work on restoring and lifting the lost recordings onto a digital medium. My son George Jenkins is now using his wizardry and is painstakingly cleaning the background noise and they are being saved, formatted and uploaded to this site for you to listen to and learn the famous Safford system to help you build a recruiting system that never stops, obtain thousands of referrals in the right market and help you do the right things with your time working with the people who deserve your time not those that need it.
Yours Truly,
SNSD Steve Jenkins
